Premium Wallpaper, Installed With the Care It Deserves

High-end wallpaper is a different job. The material is expensive, the lead times can stretch out six weeks or more, and one careless seam or smudge of glue on the face is the difference between a finished room and a reorder.

We install premium wallpaper for a living. Schumacher, Phillips Jeffries, and other top-tier brands run through our jobs regularly, mostly with the interior designers and high-end homeowners who specify them. The wallpaper isn't intimidating to us. It just gets the attention it requires.

What "Premium" Actually Means at Install

Anyone can hang a roll of wallpaper. Premium material is different in a few specific ways, and the install has to account for all of them:

  • Long lead times. Designer wallpaper often takes weeks to arrive, and reorders are slow. We measure carefully and waste nothing.
  • Delicate faces. Grasscloths, silks, and hand-printed papers can't be wiped down the way a commercial vinyl can. We use a painter's tape and glue protection technique that keeps adhesive off the face during double-cut seams.
  • Flat walls required. Premium papers, especially lighter ones, show every imperfection in the wall underneath. We handle Level 5 skim coating in-house when a project needs it.
  • Pattern alignment matters more. A hand-printed or large-repeat pattern that's off by a quarter inch is obvious. We pre-cut and sequence every panel before we put paste on anything.

Who We Work With on Premium Installs

Most of our high-end work comes from two groups:

  • Interior designers who need a reliable installer for the wallpaper they're specifying. They send us the product, we handle the install, and we communicate cleanly with the homeowner and any other trades on the project.
  • Homeowners who've done this before and know what good wallpaper costs and what good installation looks like. They've usually had a designer involved at some point and they care about the finish.

If this is your first time installing wallpaper, we can still help. The on-site consultation walks through the realistic expectations, what your walls need, and what your selected material is going to look like once it's up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Schumacher and Phillips Jeffries come through our jobs regularly, and we've worked with many of the other premium designer lines that interior designers specify. If you have a specific brand or pattern in mind, mention it on the call and we'll let you know what to expect.
We're used to working with 4 to 6 week lead times on designer material. We'll do the on-site quote and measurement first, then schedule the install once the wallpaper arrives. We need 3 to 5 days minimum once the material is on site.
It depends on the wallpaper and the existing wall texture. Lighter premium wallpapers show every bump in the wall underneath. Heavier papers can hide some texture. We'll tell you straight at the consultation whether your project needs it.
We install grasscloth, silk, and other natural and hand-printed papers regularly. They take more time and a steadier hand than standard vinyl, and we handle them accordingly. Expect some natural variation in the material itself, which is part of the look.
Yes. Every install we do comes with a 2-year workmanship warranty, including premium material installs. The wallpaper itself is covered by the manufacturer's own warranty.
Not the way we install it. For double-cut seams, we use a painter's tape and protection technique that keeps the adhesive off the face of the paper. Most face damage on premium wallpaper comes from being wiped down after glue contact, and we avoid the contact in the first place.
Absolutely. A lot of our work flows through interior designers. We can coordinate measurement, ordering quantities, scheduling, and installation directly with them and keep you in the loop or out of it depending on how the project is set up.
