A Wallpaper Sub You Can Actually Schedule Around
A lot of builders are adding wallpaper features to new builds, but finding a wallpaper sub who shows up, communicates, and finishes clean is harder than it should be. That's where we come in.
We work with general contractors and custom home builders across Tampa Bay. Roughly a fifth of our work comes from builder partners who use us repeatedly, because we don't disappear on them mid-job and we don't leave a mess for the next trade to deal with.
How We Plug Into Your Build
We're used to working alongside other trades on an active job site. That means:

One Less Sub on the Job
Most wallpaper installers don't do their own drywall prep, which means you end up coordinating a separate skim-coat sub before they'll show up. We do Level 5 skim coating in-house. That matters in Florida, where almost every wall starts out with texture that telegraphs through wallpaper if you don't flatten it first.
One sub, one schedule, one point of contact for the prep and the install. If a designer specs a premium wallpaper (Schumacher, Phillip Jeffries, or something similar), we've worked with those brands before and we know how they handle.
What We Need to Bid Your Job
Send the plans, the finish schedule, and any wallpaper specs, and we come back with quantities and a quote. On larger projects we walk the site before we finalize anything, because a plan set does not always tell you what the walls are actually going to be.
We are labor only. You, the client, or the designer sources the material. What we hand back is the exact quantity to order, taken off the on-site measurement, so nothing comes up short in the middle of a phase and nobody spends three weeks waiting on a reorder.
Booking into your schedule
We are typically booking about a week out on residential work. On larger builds we schedule once the wallpaper is on site and the walls are ready. Tell us your finish dates and we will work into them rather than handing you ours.
What Level 5 Skim Coating Actually Is
Skim coating is a thin layer of joint compound applied over the wall and sanded flat. It takes the texture out and leaves an even surface for the wallcovering to bond to, which is what a seamless, professional install actually depends on.
Not every wall needs it. Heavier materials can carry some texture and still look right, so we do not coat walls by default. We will tell you which walls need it and which do not, and you are not paying for prep that was never going to change the result.
Why it comes up on nearly every Florida job
Almost every wall in this state starts out textured. With lighter papers that texture telegraphs straight through the finished install, and you can see it and feel it once the light hits the wall at an angle. That is a punch item on a spec home and a much more expensive conversation on a designer-specified feature wall.
Closeout, Punch, and Warranty
We come back for any wallpaper-related punch items, and our workmanship carries a 2-year warranty regardless of who originally hired us into the job. If a designer specified the material and the homeowner is the one who calls us two months later, the warranty still stands.
Insurance and documentation
We carry insurance and can provide a COI for your project before we start. If your site needs anything else on file ahead of mobilization, ask when you send the scope and we will get it over with the quote.
Designer-specified material
If a designer has specified a premium wallcovering, we have almost certainly handled it before and we know how it behaves on a wall. That matters most on hand-printed and large-repeat patterns, where a panel slightly out of alignment is obvious to everyone who walks past it, and where a replacement roll is four to six weeks away rather than a trip to the supply house.
